OUR WINES

At Arun Valley Vineyard we grow all of the grapes we are making into some very special wines under the Wild Kite label.  Our exciting range of still wines includes still whites, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, a rosé made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier that is a beautiful soft pink colour and John and James’ precious still red made from grapes from our 115 Burgundy clone Pinot Noir.

Our sparkling wines are made using the traditional method.  Currently in process are a Blanc de Noirs (sparkling white wine made from red grapes), a sparkling rosé made from our Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes and a really innovative single barrel classic cuvée sparkling wine that is being made from a combination of three different grape varieties harvested over three different years and all fermented in the same French oak barrel.

SOMETHING'S BUBBLING

We have started to make a range of sparkling wines using the traditional method but it’s a long process and they won’t be ready for a while yet. On their way we have a Blanc de Noirs (sparkling white wine made from red grapes), a sparkling rosé made from our Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes, all made from grapes we harvested in our vineyard in 2025.

As well John and James are working on an exciting and innovative project involving a 500l huge Enée French Oak barrel we imported from Burgundy. This barrel is the start of a long-term three stage process to create a single barrel classic cuvée sparkling wine.

This year Pinot Meunier is being aged in the barrel for 12 months.  It will then be replaced by Pinot Noir from the 2026 harvest and eventually by Chardonnay from the 2027 harvest.  This trinity of grapes, all matured in the same barrel, will then be blended together to create a really exciting sparkling wine.
